Blog Tour: All I Want For Christmas by Joanna Bolouri

Now that November is here it's officially acceptable to break out the seasonal fiction! To kick things off, this weekend I'm taking part in the blog tour for All I Want For Christmas is You, a fun, feel-good, festive romance by Joanna Bolouri. 

When Nick loses his job and is dumped by his glamorous but demanding girlfriend, he is forced to grudgingly accept work as a Santa at a local Christmas grotto. As his friends are getting married or promoted, Nick spends his days being terrorised by unfriendly elves and cried on by snotty, spoiled children.

Then he meets 4-year-old Alfie. All Alfie wants for Christmas is for his mum, Sarah, to be happy again. Moved by the boy’s selfless wish, Nick arranges a date between Sarah and his best friend, Matt. But as Sarah and Alfie become part of all their lives, Nick realises that happiness for Sarah and Matt might mean heartbreak for himself

Review

I really enjoyed this book. It's cosy, festive escapism - exactly the kind of read I need at the moment! I really liked the fact that the story is told from the male perspective, and Nick was a character who I really rooted for. This has everything you could want from a rom-com - laugh out loud moments, love triangles, cute kids, witty dialogue, romance and bromance, and the added festive vibes (even though the story takes place over the course of a year) make it all the more enjoyable. I could easily have read this book in one sitting, and it left me with a big smile on my face. I'm already looking forward to reading more from Joanna Bolouri!
